Any of the 8,000+ US-listed stocks and ETFs covered by our market-data providers (Financial Modeling Prep, with Yahoo Finance as backup). That includes SCHD, VYM, JEPI, JEPQ, DGRO, individual dividend stocks, and REITs. Data goes back 30+ years for most established tickers.

DRIP reinvests on the ex-dividend date at that day's actual closing price with fractional shares — no rounding shortcuts. AI-written narratives use the exact numbers from the run, so no fabricated stats.

**Financial Modeling Prep (FMP)**, a licensed market-data provider, with Yahoo Finance as a backup for symbols FMP doesn't cover. That covers 30+ years of split-adjusted daily prices and dividend payouts for every US-listed stock, ETF, and REIT. Prices refresh daily after US market close. Backtests reinvest DRIP on the ex-dividend date at that day's actual closing price using fractional shares — no rounding shortcuts.

Can I connect my brokerage securely?

Yes — via **Plaid**, the same read-only aggregator behind Robinhood, Coinbase, Venmo, and 8,000+ other apps. You never share your brokerage password with DPP; you authenticate directly with your bank in the Plaid modal and DPP receives a scoped, revocable token for **positions and cost basis only**. Trading endpoints are never requested. Revoke the connection anytime from My Holdings or from your brokerage's app-permissions page.

Yes. Pro is month-to-month with no lock-in. Cancel from your account settings and you'll keep Pro access through the end of the current billing period. Yearly subscriptions are refunded pro-rata on cancellation.

What happens when my trial ends?

If you don't add a card, you keep everything you built — the app simply reverts to the Free tier. Your portfolios, holdings, watchlist, and preferences stay intact; only the paid-tier limits kick back in (e.g. Beginner-only portfolios above your Free cap become read-only until you upgrade or delete them down to the limit). We never auto-charge and never delete data on downgrade.

Click **Try DPP for Free** on the landing page or the top nav. You can also start building a hypothetical portfolio without signing up at all — sign-up is only required to save it to your dashboard.

Do I need to accept anything at sign-up?

Accepted Answer

Yes — a one-time checkbox to accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Both documents live at /trust and you can download them anytime as PDFs. When we publish a new version, we'll ask you to accept the update on your next visit.

Can I install DPP as a phone app?

Accepted Answer

Yes. DPP is a Progressive Web App (PWA). On iPhone tap Share → Add to Home Screen; on Android Chrome tap the Install prompt. Once installed you also get push notifications the day before every ex-dividend date. Full walk-through at /download.

How do I link my real brokerage?

Sign in, open **My Holdings**, and tap **Connect brokerage**. Pick your bank in the Plaid modal and complete the read-only OAuth flow — DPP will import positions and cost basis automatically. Plaid is currently in Sandbox; Production access is pending Plaid's app review.

No revenue-share math to reconcile, no thresholds beyond a $25 monthly minimum payout. Full T&Cs live on the Trust Center.
