1. Overview

These Affiliate Program Terms & Conditions (the "Terms") govern your participation in the Dividend Portfolio Planner ("DPP", "we", "us") affiliate, influencer, endorser, and referral program (the "Program"). By applying at /affiliate, sharing a DPP referral link, or accepting a payout, you agree to these Terms and to the DPP Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

You may apply to the Program if:

You are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
You maintain a public audience (YouTube channel, newsletter, blog, podcast, social account, or comparable channel) or otherwise credibly drive traffic to online products.
You are not located in, or a resident of, a jurisdiction that prohibits participation in affiliate or referral programs by applicable law, and you are not on any sanctions list.
You are not a current DPP employee, contractor, or immediate family member of one.

DPP may accept or decline any application at its sole discretion. We may also require identity or tax documentation before issuing your first payout.

3. Your affiliate link

Upon approval you will receive a unique referral URL of the form https://dividendportfolioplanner.com/?aff=YOUR-SLUG and a private dashboard URL. You may share the link on:

Videos, tweets, podcasts, newsletters, blog posts, and stream overlays that comply with the platform's own rules.
Your own social media accounts and websites.

You may not:

Impersonate DPP, its employees, or any other affiliate.
Bid on DPP brand terms (including "Dividend Portfolio Planner", "DPP", or misspellings) in paid search.
Use the link inside spam, adware, malware, botnets, incentivized-click services, or any traffic source that violates applicable law.
Purchase your own or a family member's subscription through your link to inflate MAU or commission.
Cloak, redirect, or otherwise obscure the link in a way that misleads the visitor about where it goes.
Use unauthorized DPP marks, logos, or copyrighted content beyond the media kit we provide.

Violation of this section is grounds for immediate suspension and forfeiture of unpaid commissions.

4. Commission model

Commissions are calculated on a paid Pro user basis:

Rate: up to $1.00 per attributed paid Pro user per month. There is no default rate under these Terms — your specific commission rate is determined individually at the time of approval and confirmed to you in writing on your affiliate dashboard.
A paid Pro user is any user attributed to your affiliate slug who has a paid, non-cancelled DPP Pro subscription at the time of the monthly commission calculation.
Attribution is captured via a 90-day first-touch cookie set on click of your unique link. If a visitor later signs up through a different affiliate's link, the most recent unexpired attribution wins.
We may credit small revenue-share bonuses (e.g., 25% of first-month subscription revenue) on a promotional basis; those are always disclosed in writing and never reduce your individually-agreed rate.
Your live commission balance, top-performing UTM sources, current per-Pro-user rate, and payout history are visible on your private dashboard.

4.1 DPP's right to modify the commission

DPP reserves the right to modify the commission amount, calculation method, or attribution rules (including your specific per-Pro-user rate) at any time in its sole discretion. We will provide at least 30 days' advance notice of any material rate change to the email on file for your affiliate account, and the change will apply prospectively only — commissions already earned at the prior rate will be paid out unchanged. Continued participation in the Program after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new rate. If you do not agree to the modified rate, your sole remedy is to terminate participation under Section 7.

5. Payouts

Frequency: payouts are issued on the 1st business day of each calendar month for the prior month's earned commissions.
Minimum threshold: $25.00 USD. Balances below the threshold roll over to the next month.
Method: ACH / bank transfer for US affiliates; PayPal or Wise for international affiliates. Wire transfers over $500 are available on request.
Taxes: you are responsible for all taxes owed on Program earnings. US affiliates earning $600+ in a calendar year will be issued a 1099-NEC; we may withhold payouts until a valid W-9 or W-8BEN is on file.
Chargebacks and refunds: if a referred user's subscription is refunded, charged back, or reversed, the corresponding commission is deducted from your next payout.

6. Prohibited conduct

The following will result in immediate termination and forfeiture of all pending commissions:

Fraudulent traffic, click farms, self-referrals, or fake accounts of any kind.
Publishing false, misleading, or deceptive claims about DPP, its features, pricing, or performance.
Failing to disclose your affiliate relationship where required by law or platform policy (e.g., FTC Endorsement Guides, ASA guidance).
Sending unsolicited email or SMS on DPP's behalf (spam), or purchasing traffic that violates any third party's terms.
Sharing your dashboard token URL publicly. It is bearer-authenticated — treat it like a password.

7. Term & termination

Either party may terminate participation at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. Upon termination:

Your referral link is disabled and further clicks stop attributing.
Any earned commission above the $25 threshold at the time of termination is paid on the next regular payout date.
Sections 3, 6, 8, 9, 10, and 11 survive termination.

8. Confidentiality

You may receive non-public information from DPP (pricing plans not yet public, unreleased features, aggregate performance metrics). You agree to hold that information in confidence and use it only to operate as an affiliate.

9. Intellectual property

DPP grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use DPP marks and media-kit assets solely to promote DPP through your referral link and only during the term of your participation. All goodwill from your use of the marks inures to DPP. You retain ownership of the content you create; you grant DPP a limited license to quote and re-share your promotional content on our own channels with attribution.

10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Program is provided "as is". DPP disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. In no event will DPP's total liability under these Terms exceed the total commission paid or payable to you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. General

Governing law: these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Independent contractor: nothing in these Terms creates an employment, agency, partnership, or joint-venture relationship.
Modifications: we may update these Terms; material changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued participation after a change constitutes acceptance.
